WRITER – DREAMER – READER

MARGHERITA GAGLIARDI TONIN

I love psychological thrillers that explore the human mind, the secrets we carry within us, and second chances.

Roots in Italy, life in Montana

I was born in 1978 in Arona, a small lakeside town in northern Italy, on the shores of Lake Maggiore. In 2015 I moved to the United States, where I first lived in Denver, Colorado, working as an Italian language teacher. In 2022 I moved to Bozeman, Montana, where I still live today, and started working at a showroom specializing in high-end Italian furniture and design.

Here I share my life with my husband Demis and our Dobermann, Indiana.

In my novels, I love exploring the complexity of human nature: the shadows we carry within us, secrets capable of changing everything, characters who are real, fragile, and deep. I write stories that weave together past and present, where nothing is ever quite what it seems.

When I’m not writing, I love reading, cooking, spending time with my dog, and finding inspiration in life’s small everyday moments.

“When I write, language barriers fall, filters fall, fears fall. What’s left is only me.”
